The Odd Squad is a comic published by Devil's Due Publishing. The comic centers on a misfit group of magicians, telepaths, and the like investigating odd phenomena at the request of the United States Government. In issue 2 they discover the existance of a satellite capible of remotely mutating humans into animal hybrids. They manage to destroy it, but in so doing cause it to misfire over a nearby town, mutating nearly all the townsfolk. By chance they discover that alcohol reverses the effect of the rays, and are able to restore everyone by the end of issue 3.
